There are many blogs out on the internet where people post content. But, what is the actual purpose of a blog? It is to post content that people will actually read and maybe want to follow some of your recommendations.
So, how do you write a blog post that people will want to read and take the next step, give you their contact information? There are steps that you can follow that will work.
Sometimes, we think that there is something else that would work better. But, these proven steps will work for you too. Here is part two if the two part blog post
6. Be Organized in How you Present your Facts
When writing anything, presenting the material in an organized manner is very important. You should number your sections and present headings for each section. Each blog post that I write, I check the title out with the Marketing Institute Headline Analyzer.
This tool provides ratings for each heading. This means that there are certain titles that make people want to read what you have to say.
You need to be organized but also present facts. If you are making things up, you will not last and people will determine that you are a fraud.
7. Avoid Long Sentences
Experienced copywriters say that you should write on a seventh grade level English level. You may have a college degree in English but most people don’t read at that level. So, keep it at a middle school level, always using proper grammar. People will be interested in what you have to say.
8. Keep it Simple
This point follows naturally to the previous one. Your writing should flow easily and not be difficult using words like “efficacious” (typically of something inanimate or abstract) successful in producing a desired or intended result; effective). Just because you know the meaning of the three dollar words doesn’t mean that you need to use them.
If your writing is at too high a level to understand, people will be turned off and not interested in what you have to say.
9. Ask Questions
Most people go online looking for answers. Do your writing in the form of questions and then answer the questions. Hopefully the answer will be yes. You may be asking, how can I do all this? The answer is practice, practice. This will not happen overnight.
To be honest, I have been practicing writing online for some years now. This is a trial and error procedure. The more you practice, the better you will become.
You obviously can’t do all of your writing in question form but you can do some of it. When writing titles for my blog posts, I try to do as many as possible in a question format. If I have this question, there is a good chance that someone else is thinking the same thing.
10. Present Advantages of Using Your Product
If you are promoting a network marketing product, then you need to show the advantages of using that product in an easy format.
A pressure sales pitch will never work. Since you should always be a product of the product, show what the products have done for you.
I am an Arbonne representative I promote this company, only because it was their products that finally fixed my acne at 38. As lifelong acne sufferer, this was something big for me. It is easy for me to talk about their products because they have worked for me.
11. Use Words Free, Now, Unlimited
Using these words will help in drawing people to read your copy. Now, you only want to use these words if this is true. If something isn’t free and you state it is, then it is a lie.
On my blog, I give away a free report and free training. That is a way for people to be interested in what I have to say. You need to provide helpful information. Otherwise, people won’t even listen to what you have to say.
12. Use an Emotional Appeal
If you look at most advertisements, they appeal to emotion. Most ads appeal to solving problems. Maybe the problem is image, so the ad is that a specific car will make them look better.
If there are health problems that are you want to control or remove, then a specific product will help to solve that.
If the issue is money which is a universal problem, people want to earn more or learn how not to have to work so hard. If your product can help them with that problem, then show them how.
These are emotional selling points. Appeal to these in your writing. People will be interested in what you have to say.
Keep working towards your goals,
