This post has great content on why many networkers fail to reach the level of success that they desire with their network marketing online business.
The number one reason is that individuals fail to reach out and make a personal contact with their prospect when they provide their phone number and want more information about the opportunity.
Maybe its because we as marketers have become so accustomed to not having the face to face contact with our prospects. But, remember this, if you want to ultimately be successful in network marketing, you will need to have that personal contact with the prospect, either in person or on the phone. Network marketing is a relationship building business.
How do you think that you are going to build a team if you aren’t talking to the people? They have to know that you are a real person and not a robot.
You have to be willing to take the time to talk to people and build the relationship.
The first time a lead contacts you, you can’t just hit them with your business unless they have already expressed an interest
When someone provides you their phone number, this means they want to speak with you and build a relationship with you and hopefully even join your opportunity.
So, message them on social media and ask them a set time that would work for them to talk to you.
You want to give specific times. If you leave it open ended, then your prospect will be the one in control of the conversation.
Once they have expressed an interest, then you continue to drip information about the industry on them. If they contact you, then ask them specifically if they want to join you. If they decline, then just leave it That’s fine. You don’t need to unfriend them. This is not a business of persuading. It’s a sifting business.
They contact you initially for a specific reason. So, the time has to be right for them to be looking to make real changes.
